Game Producer
A game producer is the project manager for a video game development lifecycle. He is responsible for the game’s development schedule, budget, and quality level. They work closely with the development team, including designers, artists, QA team and programmers, to plan and manage all aspects of the game’s production. Game producers use tools like JIRA, Trello, and Asana. These tools help in tracking tasks, bugs, and deadlines. They also use tools like Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Project to create and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
The primary skills required for this role are organizational, communication, interpersonal and leadership. They will need to manage and motivate a team, handle multiple tasks at once, and adapt quickly to changes in the project. Additionally, they should have a strong understanding of game development processes and a passion for video games.
